Lou – Pianist, Composer, Performer
Lou began playing piano at the age of 7. His early musical journey also included studies on French horn, trombone, sousaphone, and trumpet, performing in both high school and municipal bands. By age 16, Lou had launched his professional career and went on to study at the prestigious Berklee College of Music.
With a strong foundation in and passion for jazz—particularly the "cool era"—Lou’s repertoire extends well beyond the genre. He performs works by classical composers such as Debussy, Beethoven, Mozart, and Bartók, showcasing his versatility and depth as a musician. His jazz influences include legends like Bill Evans, Oscar Peterson, Chick Corea, Miles Davis, and Keith Jarrett.
Over the years, Lou has performed and recorded extensively throughout the United States, Europe, and Canada, both as a featured artist and sideman. Many of his recordings are available on iTunes.
Lou performs on Kurzweil Artis, Yamaha MODX7, Roland Juno keyboards, and Steinway B piano. In the studio, he uses PreSonus Studio One and Sibelius software.
